Name of Assignment: Scratch Assignment
Subject: Computer Science
Facilitator/Teacher: Mr.Murali
Description of Work/Assignment:
In this project we had to make two sprites race each other to the finish line.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
For this Assignment I used self directional skills, we had to create two sprites racing each other with blocks of code in scratch. It was a fairly easy project but we had to be creative and fix/debug any errors in the code.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I believe that I did a pretty good job on this project overall. I made it to were the first sprite to reach the finish line shrinks so you can tell who is the winner.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
I had to problem solve all the errors in the code before it was finished.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
Figuring out what to do and problem solving.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different?
I wouldn't start over but I would add more detail and add more interactive steps to the race.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?
I took CS last year and this is far more simple than writing your own code and making a game with it. This is pretty much going back through and teaching us what we learned.
How can you apply this to future learning?
If we have any more assignments like this I will remember what I did and implement it into that assignment.
